anak RSUD Mayjen H.A Thalib Sungai Penuh, pada tahun 2025 periode bulan
Januari sampai bulan September terdapat 108 kasus gastroenteritis anak.
gangguan sistem pencernaan: gastroenteritis akut diruang rawat inap anak RSUD
Mayjen H.A Thalib Sungai Penuh tahun 2025 melalui intervensi komplementer
BAB sehari konsistensi cair, turun menjadi 2 kali BAB sehari konsistensi lunak.
Sedangkan hasil pemberian kompres hangat, pemberian hari pertama pretes 38,2°C
postest 38,0°C, hari kedua pretes 37,9°C postes 37,6°C. Hari ketiga suhu tubuh
Abstract (EN):
Acute gastroenteritisis one of the most common digestive disorders
in childrenand is accompanied by diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. Preliminary study
resultsshow that gastroenteritis is the most common case found in childrentreated
in the pediatric ward of Mayjen H.A Thalib Sungai Penuh Regional General
Hospital from January to September 2025, with 108 cases of pediatric
gastroenteritis.January to September 2025, there were 108 cases ofpediatric
gastroenteritis. Objective: This studyaims to apply nursing care to An. F with a
digestive system disorder: acute gastroenteritis in the pediatric ward of Mayjen
H.A. Thalib Sungai Penuh Regional General HospitalThalib Sungai Penuh
Hospital in 2025 through complementary interventions in the form ofplantain
therapy, honey, and warm compresses. Method: The intervention ofgiving plantain
and honey to be eaten/drunk by the patient for 3 days toovercome the problem of
diarrhea. The warm compress intervention was given when the patient's body
temperature was≥ 37.6°C with a frequency of once a day at five points (forehead,
neck, armpits, right and left thigh folds) to overcome hyperthermia. Results: After
administering bananas andhoney, there was a decrease in the frequency of diarrhea
from 7 times a day with liquid consistency to 2times a day with soft consistency.
Meanwhile, the results of warm compress administration showed that on the first
day, the pretest temperature was 38.2°C and the posttest temperature was 38.0°C,
while on the second day, the pretest temperature was 37.9°C and the posttest
temperature was 37.6°C.On the third day, the body temperature was 36.9°C, and
warm compresses were discontinued because the body temperature was within the
normal range. Conclusion and recommendations: The administration of plantains,
honey, and warm compresses has been proven to help reduce the frequency of
diarrhea and stabilize body temperature in children with acute gastroenteritis. The
results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for nursing care using a
complementary approach in children with gastroenteritis.
