Hearing impairment is a diminished disease or loss of auditory function subjected to one or both ears. Hearing impairment is divided into two types, temporary and permanent. Based on the results of a national survey of the health of the senses of vision and hearing with samples of 19,375 in 7 provinces (West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Central Java, East Java, NTB, South Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi) in 2010, the prevalence of deafness is approximately 0.4% and hearing loss is about 16.8%. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of knowledge, working period, attitude, intensity of the noise with the hearing impairment toward workers in the production part of PT Sentrikon Jaya Indonesia Batang Anai Regency Padang- Pariaman2016. The research is descriptive analytic research with cross sectional approach using collection of independent variables and dependent variable which were done simultaneously. The sampling technique used was total sampling with 35 people. Research was conducted mid month July 2016 at the production of PT Sentrikon JayaIndonesia. The data collected was then analyzed in univariate and bivariat using Chi-Square test. The results showed there is relationship between the working masses with hearing impairment (p= 0.002) the noise intensity (p= 0.002) and there is no relationship of knowledge with hearing impairment (p= 0.960) and there is no relationship with attitude with hearing impairment (p= 0,708). The working masses and the intensity of the noise relate to hearing impairment in the production section of PT Jaya Indonesia Sentrikon 2016. It is recommended to the company to give a reprimand or punishment to the workers who do not abide by the rules that have been applied by the company and expected the company to transfer workers to other parts to reduce hearing impainment. To all workers are expected to really understand and apply it in the workplace so as to avoid accidents and occupational diseases.
