Hewan uji berupa tikus putih sebanyak 25 ekor dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu : kontrol netral (tanpa perlakuan), kontrol negatif (basis salep), kontrol positif (salep silver sulfadiazine plus), salep ekstrak batang sereh dapur 10%, dan salep ekstrak batang sereh dapur 20%. Analisis data menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis yang menyatakan bahwa nilai signifikasi p Abstract (EN): Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) contains compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins, which aid in the healing of second-degree burns. This study aims to determine whether an ethanol extract of lemongrass stems (Cymbopogon citratus) can be formulated into an ointment for treating burn wounds and whether such an ointment can promote the healing of second-degree burns on the skin of male Wistar white rats (Rattus norvegicus) by examining the percentage of wound closure and histological features. Burns were induced on the backs of the rats with a diameter of 2 cm and a specific depth (noted in mm). The ointment containing the lemongrass stem extract was applied once daily in the morning for 21 days. The experimental animals consisted of 25 male white rats divided into 5 treatment groups: Neutral control (no treatment), Negative control (ointment base only), Positive control (silver sulfadiazine ointment), Lemongrass stem extract ointment 10%, Lemongrass stem extract ointment 20%. Data analysis using the Kruskal-Wallis test showed a significant effect (p < 0.05), indicating that the lemongrass stem extract ointment significantly influenced the healing of second-degree burns on the skin of male Wistar white rats. The study concludes that the ethanol extract of Cymbopogon citratus stems can be successfully formulated into an ointment for the treatment of second-degree burns. Based on the percentage of wound closure, the 20% concentration ointment showed faster healing, while the 10% concentration ointment demonstrated better histological healing characteristics.
