Abstrak

Berdasarkan profil Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat tahun 2022 terdapat kasus anemia sebanyak 926 kasus (8,1% per kehamilan). According to the 2022 profile of the Health Department of West Pasaman Regency, there were 926 cases of anemia (8.1% per pregnancy). Among the 20 health centers in West Pasaman Regency, Ujung Gading Community Health Center ranked third in the highest number of anemia cases, with 137 cases. One of the ways to prevent anemia in pregnant women is by improving their understanding and knowledge about anemia. This effort needs to be widely implemented through information dissemination and health education targeting pregnant women. This study aims to determine the influence of health education using video and leaflet media on the knowledge and attitudes about anemia among pregnant women in the working area of Ujung Gading Community Health Center. The research method used in this study is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest- posttest design. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 27 pregnant women. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate analyses using a paired sample t-test with a 5% error margin (p-value < 0.05). The results showed that the average knowledge score before the health education was 7.78 and increased to 11.48 after the health education, with a p-value of 0.001. The average attitude score before the health education was 38.37 and increased to 42.44 after the health education, also with a p-value of 0.001. This indicates that health education using video and leaflet media significantly influenced the knowledge and attitudes about anemia among pregnant women in the working area of Ujung Gading Community Health Center. It is expected that healthcare workers can intensively provide health education using video and leaflet media about anemia to pregnant women as part of efforts to improve their knowledge and attitudes toward anemia.
