This has placed Indonesia as the third highest country with the highest MMR. In West Sumatra, the MMR in 2023 was 178, still significantly lower than the national average of 189. Based on data from Pesisir Selatan, the MMR in 2023 decreased to 12 maternal deaths, compared to 14 maternal deaths in 2021. This study uses a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted from September to November 2024 in the work area of Puskesmas Pasar Baru. The sample size consisted of 55 pregnant women in their third trimester. The sampling technique used was non-probabilistic with serial sampling method. The research instruments included questionnaires and maternal and child health books (KIA). Univariate and bivariate analyses were performed using the Chi-Square test. The statistical test results showed significant relationships between maternal age (p < 0.001), education (p < 0.001), parity (p < 0.001), occupation (p < 0.001), economic status (p < 0.001), attitude (p < 0.001), and knowledge (p < 0.001) with antenatal care visits. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between age, education, parity, occupation, economic status, attitude, and knowledge with antenatal care visits. It is recommended that healthcare workers in the Puskesmas Pasar Baru area enhance counseling and act as good motivators for pregnant women, encouraging them to attend antenatal care visits regularly.
