Abstrak
Pembuangan kotoran yang baik adalah harus dibuang ke dalam tempat penampungan kotoran yang disebut jamban. Di Desa Lumindai yaitu sebanyak 335 rumah (60,0 %) dari 558 jumlah rumah yang ada. Survey awal terhadap 7 orang kepala keluarga yang memiliki jamban, 71,4 % kurang mengetahui tentang ciri-ciri jamban sehat, 57,1 % menyatakan masih terdapat anggota keluarga yang jarang menggunakan jamban di rumah karena tidak terbiasa, dan 71,4 % menyatakan bahwa mereka tidak pernah mendapatkan penyuluhan dari petugas tentang pentingnya kepemilikan jamban sehat serta tidak memiliki biaya untuk pembuatan jamban. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepemilikan jamban. Metode penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh kepala keluarga (KK) yang terdapat di Desa Lumindai Kecamatan Barangin Kota Sawahlunto, berjumlah 588 KK. Sampel sebanyak 86 KK yang diambil secara sistematik random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terpimpin dengan panduan kuesioner, kemudian diolah secara komputerisasi dengan menggunakan uji statistik chi-square. Hasil analisis univariat diketahui 58,1 % responden tidak memiliki jamban, 51,2 % pengetahuan rendah, 53,5 % kebiasaan baik, 81,4 % menyatakan peran petugas baik dan 67,4 % memiliki status ekonomi miskin. Hasil analisa bivariat diketahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepemilikan jamban adalah pengetahuan (p = 0,000 dengan OR = 11,791), kebiasaan (p = 0,000 dengan OR = 14,467), dan status ekonomi (p = 0,000 dengan OR = 15,923), serta tidak ada hubungan kebiasaan penggunaan jamban dengan kepemilikan jamban (p = 0,276). Disimpulkan bahwa faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepemilikan jamban adalah pengetahuan, kebiasaan, dan status ekonomi. Diharapkan pada Dinas Kesehatan agar dapat mengadakan program Pamsimas yang difokuskan pada pembangunan jamban bagi masyarakat tidak mampu dan membangun jambanjamban umum di sekitar lingkungan masyarakat, untuk membiasakan mereka buang air besar di jamban. Abstract (EN): Should defecate in the proper place which is called latrine. The total number of homes 558 (five hundred fifty eight) in Lumindai village, there are only 3356 (three hundred thirty five) home which has latrines or around sixty percent (60 %). The first survey that has been done toward the seven head of households who has latrines, five of them didnot understand completely about the requirements of the healty latines. Four of the family members still do not want to use latrines because they do not get uset to, and five of them admit that they never get the counseling from offivers about the importance of having the healthy latrines and they also said that they do not have money to build them. The purpose of this research is to determine the factor associated with the ownership of latrines. The method of this research is analytical research method with cross sectional approach. The population of the research is all the head of households located in the Lumindai village of the district Barangin Sawahlunto with total number of head of households is 558 (five hundred eighty eight). A sample of 86 (eighty six) families were taken in a systematic random sampling. Data were collected trhough interviews guided by the guide questionaire, then processed in a computerized using chi-square statistic test. Results of univariate analysis known to 58.1% of respondents do not have latrines, low knowledge 51.2%, 53.5% good habits, 81.4% stated that the role of both workers and 67.4% have poor economic status. Results of bivariate analysis known factors related to the latrine ownership are knowledge (p = 0.000 and OR = 11.791), habits (p = 0.000 and OR = 14.467), and economic status (p = 0.000 and OR = 15.923), here is no correlation latrine usage habits with latrine ownership (p = 0.276). It was concluded that factors related to the latrine ownership of latrines are knowledge, habbits, and economic status. It is expected that the Health Department can hold a program which is focused on building latrines for the people who can not afford and build public latrines around the neighborhood community, to familiarize them to defecate in latrines.
