Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat signifikansi p Abstract (EN): Drug Related Problems (DRPs) are issues related to drug therapy that can hinder the achievement of optimal therapeutic outcomes. Hypertension patients are considered a high-risk group for DRPs due to the chronic nature of treatment and the potential for polypharmacy. Therefore, evaluating DRPs plays a crucial role in supporting successful hypertension management. This study aimed to evaluate the occurrence of DRPs and analyze their correlation with therapeutic success in outpatient hypertension patients at Ibnu Sina Hospital, Bukittinggi, in 2024. The research was an analytical descriptive study with a retrospective cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 41 outpatient hypertension patients who met the inclusion criteria, selected using total sampling. Data were collected from medical records and analyzed using the Chi-Square test to assess the relationship between DRPs and therapeutic outcomes. Out of the 41 patients, 22 patients (53.7%) experienced DRPs. The most common types of DRPs identified were drug interactions (36.6%) and inappropriate drug selection (22%). Therapeutic success was achieved in 24 patients (58.5%). The Chi-Square test results indicated a significant correlation between DRPs and therapeutic success (p = 0.000). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the occurrence of DRPs and therapeutic success in hypertension patients. Routine identification and evaluation of DRPs are essential to improve therapy quality and prevent treatment failure.
